Insurance Information for Uroplasty products

Urgent ^® PC

Percutaneous Posterior Tibial Nerve Stimulation (PTNS) using the Urgent PC system is intended to treat overactive bladder (OAB) and associated symptoms of urinary urgency, urinary frequency and urge incontinence. PTNS is a covered benefit by many insurance companies. Check with your doctor, insurance company or the Uroplasty Reimbursement Group to find out if your plan covers PTNS.

To qualify for PTNS treatments with the Urgent PC system, your insurance company may require that you have had symptoms for at least 12 months and attempted more conservative treatments first. Work with your doctor's office to verify PTNS coverage benefits through your insurance plan.

If your insurance company does not cover PTNS, you may have the right to appeal. When available, your insurance company will have a process for this. Additionally, your doctor's office and the Uroplasty Reimbursement Group can help you with the steps of an appeal.

Macroplastique ^®

Macroplastique is a urethral bulking treatment for adult females with Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) primarily due to intrinsic sphincter deficiency (ISD). All Medicare Carriers and most private insurance cover urethral bulking treatments. Check with your doctor, insurance company or the Uroplasty Reimbursement Group to see if urethral bulking treatments are covered under your plan.
